Memorial Diamonds
Have you ever wondered what to do with a loved one’s ashes if you don’t want to bury or scatter them? We have now started working with a new supplier to be able to offer our customers a range of diamonds. A unique way of keeping your loved ones with you at all times.
Diamonds are made by extracting carbon from either hair or ashes and re-creating the natural diamond formation process. The 10 steps for creating your diamond are:
- Collection of ashes or hair
- Isolation of carbon from ashes or hair
- Conversion into Graphite
- Growing Cell
- Growth Process
- Removal and Opening of the Growing Cell
- Rough Diamond Produced
- Cut and Polish
- Laser Inscription
- Certification and Quality Check.
Diamonds range from 0.3ct to 2ct and due to the naturally occurring boron in our bodies, each diamond will be unique. No chemical colouring is added to the diamonds, so they are naturally produced from clear to dark blue. We cannot control the colour of your diamond.
The diamonds can be left rough, so show the personality of your loved one, or can be cut into one of six different shapes- Brilliant, Emerald, Asscher, Princess, Radiant and Heart shaped.
Prices start at £2000 for a 0.3ct rough diamond and the whole process can take between 4-8 months.
